Tasks

o Conduct inspections and witness tests for electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and control panels at vendor facilities and project sites. o Maintain quality records including material certificates, inspection reports, and NCRs. o Monitor vendor quality performance and conduct audits at fabrication shops. o Maintain quality records including inspection reports, test certificates, and NCRs. o Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve quality issues. o Verify that safety and quality requirements are incorporated into electrical design deliverables. o Provide regular quality status reports to project management. o Develop and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical equipment and systems. o Review electrical design documents (single-line diagrams, cable schedules, load lists) for compliance with project specifications and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC). Quality Control in Fabrication o Ensure proper installation and testing of electrical systems (continuity, insulation resistance, high-voltage tests). o Develop and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for static equipment. The QA/QC Engineer will ensure quality compliance for (mechanical static equipment or electrical systems and equipment) during the design, procurement and fabrication phases of the project. This role involves reviewing engineering deliverables, implementing quality standards, and coordinating inspections to meet project specifications and international codes. o Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific QA/QC procedures. o Review and verify design documents for static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks) against project specifications and applicable codes (ASME, API, PED). o Ensure adherence to client and regulatory quality requirements during design development.

What You Bring

Mechanical: Familiarity with NDT methods and certification (ASNT Level II preferred). Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 7+ years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas projects, with strong exposure to static equipment design and fabrication / electrical systems and equipment. o Witness critical inspections such as material verification, welding, NDT, and hydrostatic testing. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Mechanical: In-depth knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/660, and welding standards. Experience with vendor quality surveillance and shop inspections. Electrical: In-depth knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC standards and electrical testing procedures. Good communication and report-writing skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Electrical: Familiarity with FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
