Tasks

Fit stainless steel, steel & various alloys piping for plumbing/mechanical applications. This is a full-time on-site role for Pipe Fitters located in Apopka, FL. The Pipe Fitters will be responsible for fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects, and ensuring conformance with specifications.

You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear. -Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets. -Excellent knowledge of Fitting configurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping -Communication: Effective English or Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a must have. -Must be able to pass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview. -Experience fitting stainless steel piping -Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail -Preferred knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems. -Working knowledge of gas cutting techniques for piping (Automatic & Manually) -High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in pipe welding -Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success. -Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. -Knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting techniques
