Overview

Manage cost control, payments and commercial activities for the Midland Metro Alliance project.

Tasks

-Undertake cost estimating, benchmarking, and value engineering exercises. -Assisting with the provision of information for the annual audit -Manage change control, schedule of rates, and Application for Payment -Maintain relationship with the Joint Venture Partners being the point of contact for all queries -Manage key stakeholders and cost information -Manage and keep the timesheet system updated and ensuring your assistant commercial manager chases up outstanding timesheets -Follow up all outstanding costs, invoices and employee expenses

What You Bring

-Extensive experience in commercial management within the rail, light rail, or major infrastructure sector. -Proven ability to work independently and drive progress without supervision. -Understanding of Value Engineering and whole-life cost analysis -Strong understanding of cost planning, estimation and contract administration -Professional accreditation preferred (RICS, ICES, or equivalent). -Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering. -Experience within design-and-build environments. -Advanced capability in cost reporting, forecasting, and value management. -Chartered status (MRICS, MCInstCES, or equivalent). -Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
