Tasks

-The role will manage the link between the Client’s BIM representatives, the consultant BIM team, Aecon (and any JV partner) and any sub-contractors BIM team. The role will support the project Technical director’s to enable BIM outcomes to ensure the information is delivered to programme and coordinated between engineering disciplines, organisations and packages. -To ensure validation reports to verify Information Models in accordance with ISO 19650 and the Institute for BIM in Canada toolkit -Overall accountability for enabling BIM, GIS and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction) -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team’s on the project, based on the BIM goals set in the bid phase. -Ensure BIM the BIM requirements set on the project support digital integrating across all project functions -To provide Leadership, support and co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from Design through to construction. Technical work streams may include but are not limited to; all engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management and industrialisation. -Ensure delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with Aecon’s IDD BIM related processes and procedures and support the IDD Director with the future developments.

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of EHS regulations -On-site construction experience would be desirable -Detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities is vital -Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills are essential -Bilingual (French and English) would be desirable -Large Infrastructure BIM Implementation experience -Excellent knowledge of BIM Standard’s (ISO 19650/ Institute of BIM in Canada) -Experience of working within construction project environments -Educational and Industry experience requirements include; Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practice -Understanding design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of Works -Experience with model federation platforms such as Assemble Systems, Navisworks and Bentley Navigator -Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle -Excellent customer service skills, a passion for problem ownership, and a customer-first attitude -Experience in the implantation of Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise and Aconex -Ability to travel to site, mobile for projects -Experience of large complex projects in infrastructure would be desirable -Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision
