The Role

Overview

Design and oversee aviation/federal architecture projects, manage budgets and client relations.

Tasks

-Define, along with the project manager, the productivity and profit goals for each assigned project. -Prepare suggestions for staffing requirements and production to keep project performance on track. -Develop effective client relationships in bringing projects to fruition. -Keep design support team productive and efficient. Responsible for check set review, code compliance and risk management review of assigned projects. -Work directly with project managers in the conceptual development of the project assignments. -Responsible for daily supervision of design and technical development of projects. -Works with contractors to price, bid, and construct projects. -At the outset of each new project or current assignment, prepare a project budget scenario and then track hours spent on project. -Conceives, designs, and prepares working drawings for new or modified structures.

What You Bring

-Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. -Proficient in REVIT -Previous consulting experience preferred. -Demonstrated progress toward becoming a Registered Architect. -This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. -Must perform a variety of complicated problem-solving tasks. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Minimum 4 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience). -Excellent written & verbal communication skills. -Bachelor's degree in architecture from accredited program.
