Assistant Project Manager

Overview

Assist PMs with planning, execution, and oversight of small electrical construction projects.

Tasks

-Manage small project scopes under the guidance of Project Managers. -Provide administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking and documentation. -Monitors jobsite safety and takes appropriate action to address and correct deficiencies. -Attend in-person and virtual client and field meetings to ensure effective communication. -Coordinate project activities to maintain project schedules. -Monitor and track project changes (e.g. RFIs, design changes) and assist in document control efforts. -Coordinate project activities with vendors and subcontractors. -Maintain communication with various individuals and departments to ensure deliverables are met. -Assist in change order estimates and provide estimating and budget support. -Contribute to the enhancement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and propose actionable solutions. -Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices. -Act as a key liaison between project teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate clear and effective communication aligned with project goals. -Maintain a physical presence onsite and regularly visit jobsites to oversee progress and provide assistance to the project management team as needed. -Develop and maintain positive client relationships to contribute to successful project outcomes

What You Bring

-Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office -Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, and/or three to five years electrical construction industry experience or relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and field experience. -Proficiency in electrical estimating to produce job change orders, evaluate and apply job estimates, and assist with new estimates as required. -Apply familiarity with project cost forecasting and projections. -Knowledge of electrical trade and/or construction-related background. -Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective prioritization skills. -Familiarity with construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles. -Experience working with software-based estimating, accounting, scheduling, and project management systems. Knowledge of Accubid preferred.
