Tasks

-Assist the product engineering department in their day-to-day activities. -Define learning objectives and goals for the internship period in alignment with the intern's academic and career interests. -Network with professionals within the company to gain insights into different roles and responsibilities. -Learn and adhere to safety protocols, contributing to a safe working environment. -Assist in maintaining accurate documentation related to projects, processes, and activities. -Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement or additional tasks that contribute to the overall goals of the company. -Receive constructive feedback and evaluations on performance, contributing to personal and professional development. -Prepare fabrication drawings and structural calculations, product estimating and shop drawing creation and review. -Prepare and deliver a presentation at the end of the internship, summarizing key learnings and contributions. -Observe and learn about concrete manufacturing processes, gaining insights into the production workflow. -Attend training sessions, workshops, and company events to enhance professional skills and knowledge. -Assist in data entry, data analysis, and report generation to support decision-making processes. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in meetings and contributing to team discussions. -Design engineered concrete products, including precast concrete structures, concrete pipe, manholes and other concrete items according to specifications. -Collaborate with the quality control team to understand and participate in quality assurance processes. -Work on assigned projects, providing research, analysis, and support as required.

What You Bring

-Experience in reinforced concrete design and structural engineering is a plus. -Prior experience with precast concrete structures, state DOT projects, or wastewater treatment projects is a plus. -Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Software is preferred. -High School Diploma or equivalent - Civil Engineering or related training is a plus. -Manufacturing related work experience is preferred. -Demonstrate adaptability and a willingness to engage in various aspects of the company's operations.
