Overview

Oversee procurement, inventory, and supplier coordination for assigned commodities.

Tasks

-Handle all tactical purchasing responsibilities for internal and external supply chain partners to maintain high customer service levels. -Schedule timely delivery of materials for assigned commodities based on production needs. -Participate in supplier management activities such as qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification -Monitor and support supplier compliance with inventory agreements. -External: Ongoing communication with suppliers, transportation partners, customs agents, and other Vantage Group companies. -Collaborate with Sustaining Engineering on part changes to minimize scrap and ensure smooth transitions. -Generate requisitions and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers. -Actively manage inventory to align with business strategies and targets. -Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments. -Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels for assigned materials. -Internal: Frequent interaction with production, engineering, quality, manufacturing, finance, warehouse, and purchasing teams. -Provide suppliers with a rolling 12-month forecast to support planning. -Ensure close cooperation with internal stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and enable early engagement. -Maintain accurate purchase order pricing, quantities, deliveries, and data within the ERP system. -Generate, document, and implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure visibility of results. -Collaborate with Scheduling, Production, and Manufacturing teams to align material orders with production build schedules.

What You Bring

-Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. -Effective communication skills (written, verbal, presentation). -Demonstrated ability to manage inventory levels and drive reduction strategies. -0 – 2 years of procurement experience in a make-to-order environment. -Base knowledge of MRP principles and experience with Materials Requirements Planning. -Proficiency in ERP systems (Visual 9 preferred). -Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. -Proven experience in contract negotiation and administration. -Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. -Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
