Tasks

-Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, authorized vendors, other service organizations, and all inner company lines of business to assure customer satisfaction. -Continuously improve personal, technical, and professional business skills enabling company to service products to customer's satisfaction through keeping current with product technology as measured by ability to troubleshoot and repair various products and to instruct others. -Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings. -Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency. -Perform job walks to aid in the creation of technical proposals and pricing for potential customers. -Interpret specs and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for customers. -Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair, and training. -Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates. -Provide customers and inner company lines of business basic applications information via phone or on-site consultation. -Provide timely, detailed, and accurate reports on service work performed, product performance, and report recommendations on findings.

What You Bring

-5+ years of experience in an electrical field. -Working knowledge with power systems analysis to conduct short circuit/Arc Flash/Breaker coordination studies (including software applications of SKM) is highly desirable. -Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites. -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. -Demonstrated ability to provide service to all lines of business within the company and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction. -Experience and working knowledge of lighting control systems is desirable. -PE License. -Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable. -Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis are highly desirable. -Ability to run medium studies and projects unassisted. -Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. -Experience with NFPA, IEEE and NETA testing standards and practices. -Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical equipment. -Experience conducting Low, Medium, High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing is highly desirable -Experience with protective relays is highly desirable. -Possess understanding of installation and working knowledge of large UPS systems, Static Switches, PDU's is highly desirable -Experience with cable testing is desirable - (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hi-Pot) -NICET Electrical Power Testing Certification is highly desirable -Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an electrical field. -Must maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license. -Working knowledge and experience in Commissioning and QA/QC practices of electrical distribution equipment is highly desirable. -Experience with power transformer testing is desirable - (Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.) -Demonstrate ability to work with various test equipment and proficient knowledge to evaluate over current protection devices, relays, and other pieces of electrical equipment. -Short-Circuit, LV/MV Coordination, Arc Flash. -Existing certification or equivalent skills/experience is desirable for testing procedures.
