- Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients’ program requirements and standards and policies for completion to share with your project teams
- Manage client relationships and team communication
- Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
- Anticipate and resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions during document preparation and construction administration
- Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
- Lead multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, etc.
- Participate in the production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
- Lead more junior members of staff: motivate and ensure quality of work; ensure clear communication; understand the skills of the team and wider resources within the office
- Maintain the project manual and specifications
- Lead construction meetings with client and contractor
- Actively lead a range of project team sizes for successful delivery

- Excellent eye for delivering high quality design
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
- 10+ years of experience in a commercial design firm, that must include commercial interiors
- Ability to understand how interiors are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
- Licensed Architect; MA State preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.
- Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
Benefits
- The base salary range will be estimated between $101,500 - $130,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
