Tasks

-Support development of proposals, project cost estimates and project schedules. -Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve complex issues where precedent may be limited. -Responsible for multiple projects, and be able to carry out multiple tasks within each project. -Develop project planning documents and client progress reports. -Understand and ensure that client expectations related to project scope are met and exceeded. -Establish and maintain positive internal and external stakeholder relationships. -Ensure procurement packages are produced in accordance with project cost, schedule and quality requirements. -Review project documentation and perform Engineer of Record duties (specifications, IFR/IFC drawings, designs, equipment lists, labor estimates, etc.) prior to issue for accuracy, completeness and presentation. -Provide proactive project change, risk and stakeholder management support. -Coordination and/or facilitation of key meetings or review points: project kickoff meetings, IFR/IFC review, constructability review, construction kickoff, etc. and following all action items through to completion. -Apply proactive and effective communication with key stakeholders. -Act as the primary technical interface for the projects and provide advice and guidance to the engineering disciplines.

What You Bring

-In depth knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems, streetlight design, capital and maintenance projects, and customer new connect projects will be required. -Experience in project controls and scheduling is considered an asset. -Working knowledge of applicable industry, national, and provincial codes and standards. -Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills are critical for this role. -Ability to provide strong technical and problemsolving skills. -Ability to challenge specifications and nonoptimal designs and provide value added alternatives. -Site travel is expected, and position will require travel to site. -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a technical school diploma/certificate, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience -Genuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team and with other discipline staff. -Previous Distribution Design experience with SaskPower or similar utility within Canada -Registered Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee. -High level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget. -Proficiency with SAP, GIS tools, Bluebeam, AGI 32, Pull Planner. Valid Driver’s License. Experience & Background: -Knowledge of project management principles and processes.
