The Role

Overview

Assist in fire safety engineering consulting, design, analysis, and client coordination.

Tasks

-Assist with fire modeling -Assist senior engineers to help clients to incorporate fire and life safety strategy concepts into the design and review drawings for conformance with the agreed strategy -Assist with the development of fire safety strategies for special hazards -Assist senior engineers on project site visits and communicate with architects, contractors and consulting teams -Assist with dynamic egress modeling -Perform smoke control analysis -Assist with the development of structural fire calculations -Provide consulting for life safety, building, and fire code compliance -Participate in internal team meetings and external client meetings -Contribute to the development of prescriptive and performance-based design strategies. -Assist with development of fire alarm, detection, and fire suppression systems design documents
