The Role

Overview

Tasks

-Support marketing and business development across the country. -Participate in the development of a cohesive, positive culture company-wide to cultivate a best-in-class environment that allows our people to realize their full potential. -Work as a team member across Schnabel offices to effectively balance workload among available resources. -Manage, execute, and provide technical support, in a team setting and on a variety of challenging infrastructure projects. -Provide a resume and cover letter articulating why you are interested in joining Schnabel and our Honolulu office. -Manage multidisciplinary infrastructure projects through concept, investigation, design, and construction phases including budget, schedule, coordination, and task scope. -Develop proposals for new work including scope of work, fee estimates, and client coordination. -Perform management duties related to obtaining signed contracts, verification of time sheets, reviewing and approving invoices, developing, and tracking project schedules and budgets for subconsultants. -Manage and mentor junior engineers, commensurate with experience level. -Manage the preparation of calculations and design reports, plans, specifications, technical memorandums, and other project contract documents. -Collaborate with and lead multidiscipline teams through the design process. -Communicate effectively with clients, business partners, subconsultants, and Schnabel team members.

What You Bring

-Project management experience -A Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire -Familiarity with heavy civil construction means and methods -Attention to detail and well organized -Be physically able to navigate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders and work outside in various weather conditions. -Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a multi-person team -Ability to pass a pre-employment employment drug screening. -Strong work ethic and the desire to perform professionally at a high level -Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel -A Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Structural, or related fields is preferred -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check. -8+ years of design- and/or construction-oriented consulting engineering experience -A Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
