Overview

Develop and own GIS-based web applications, lead product roadmap, using React, FastAPI, AWS.

Tasks

-Create intuitive, data-rich interfaces for internal users and external clients. -Automate the production of site-specific GIS reports for renewable energy projects. -Design robust backend systems and RESTful APIs using FastAPI and GeoServer. -Deploy and manage applications on AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3). -Lead product lifecycle from concept through launch and continuous improvement. -Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. -Lead technical design, mentor developers, and foster a collaborative team environment. -Implement robust CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). -Align technical execution with product vision and business objectives. -Develop interactive mapping tools using Mapbox. -Define and execute product roadmaps for GIS-based web solutions. -Process and manage geospatial datasets (e.g., KML, Shapefiles, GeoJSON). -Develop scalable, secure frontend applications using React and Mapbox. -Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and monitoring. -Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (GIS analysts, product management, engineering).

This role blends engineering expertise with product vision, requiring extensive knowledge of full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and GIS systems. We will drive the creation of innovative tools that support the expansion of renewable energy projects nationwide. -Bachelors/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geoinformatics, or related field. -Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders. -Strong skills in React, Mapbox, FastAPI, and GeoServer. -Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion. -Proven experience managing software products from concept to deployment. -Experience with PostGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms. -Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities. -Proficiency with cloud services (AWS) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). -Expertise in GIS data, spatial analysis, and mapping frameworks. -Background in renewable energy, site planning, or environmental modelling. -Knowledge of large-scale geospatial data processing and reporting frameworks. -Familiarity with agile methodologies. -Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. -8–12 years in full-stack development and application architecture. -Technical understanding of clean energy business processes -Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
