Lead health & safety for major airport infrastructure project

Tasks

You will champion health and safety across the project, providing expert advice and support to design and construction teams. Reporting directly to the Project Director you will ensure compliance with all legal duties and embed best practice throughout the project lifecycle. -Advise on company and project-specific health and safety policies to minimise risk and disruption to airport operations. -Fulfil duties under PSDP and PSCS regulations. -Support design and construction teams with safe systems of work and risk reduction strategies. -Develop and implement project health, safety and wellbeing strategies and objectives. -Assess supply chain competence and maintain training matrices. -Lead the project Health & Safety team and foster professional development. -Prepare accurate health and safety performance reports and manage compliance audits. -Investigate incidents thoroughly and implement lessons learned. -Liaise with regulators, airport stakeholders and industry bodies. -Promote engagement and learning through training, competency standards and workforce consultation. -Manage health and safety budgets where required.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication and leadership skills. -Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. -Full EU/Irish driving licence and valid Safepass essential. -IT proficiency (Microsoft Suite). -NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IOSH membership. -Experience in audits, risk assessments, method statement reviews and emergency planning. -Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction health and safety management. -Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete a 5-year background screening. -Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. -3 years’ experience in an airside environment is preferable.
