Design and inspect water/wastewater infrastructure structures for United Utilities projects.

Tasks

-Participating in design reviews, project meetings, and construction site visits -Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and drafters -Coordinating with other disciplines (e.g. process, mechanical, electrical) to ensure that structural design is fully integrated into overall project design -Conducting site inspections and assessing existing structures for repair and/or replacement -Designing new structures and/or modifications to existing structures using appropriate design codes and standards -Preparing detailed structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports

What You Bring

-Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership -Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g. Staad Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) -Experience in the water and wastewater industry -Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015. -Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent -Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, British Standards)
