Tasks

We’re seeking a Senior Project Controls Analyst to support one of our client’s large-scale energy efficiency programs. This role focuses on financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting helping ensure transparency, accountability, and disciplined execution across a major utility initiative driving statewide energy savings. You’ll collaborate closely with program management, finance, and engineering teams to deliver accurate, data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making and strong program performance. -Purpose-driven work – help deliver infrastructure that powers communities -Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen cost control and forecasting discipline. -Prepare monthly spend plans, accruals, and cost summaries for client reporting. -Coordinate with finance, PMO, and engineering teams to validate program expenditures. -Develop, maintain, and report on program budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards. -Support KPI tracking, performance metrics, and executive dashboards. -Maintain controls documentation and ensure consistency across all program workstreams. -Track actuals vs. forecast, analyze variances, and identify corrective actions. -Support audit and regulatory readiness by maintaining clear documentation of cost and workflow processes.

What You Bring

CARIAN does not sponsor H-1B visas at this time. -Clear communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. -5+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or financial analysis, ideally within utilities, energy efficiency, or infrastructure programs. -Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. -Experience with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and cost reporting practices. -Familiarity with SAP, or Oracle a plus. -Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Smartsheet. -Proven ability to work independently and lead program reporting efforts. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. -Industry reputation – trusted by leading utilities for reliability and results
