The Role

Overview

Perform multi‑trade repairs/maintenance in occupied social housing properties.

Tasks

-Repairing or replacing internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges -Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings -Installing and adjusting kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors -Replacing or repairing skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames -Identifying and fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks -Participating in out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required -Reporting any further works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues beyond scope -Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order -Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets -Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across occupied properties -Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works -Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents' homes -Ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard -Manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets -Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing

What You Bring

-Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes -Full UK driving licence -Good knowledge of repairs and maintenance -Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills -Ability to work alone -Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively -Proven experience in repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating) -Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices -Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
