Tasks
-May need to periodically maneuver over, under, and around barriers as well as climb ladders on a job site -Assists senior staff and service line director in procuring and pursuing new work and new clients through proposal development and project interviews, as needed. -Maintains a positive relationship with internal and external clients through proactive, high-quality communication and work product -Communicates high performance design and sustainable design regulations to project teams through coordination meetings and technical reports. -Frequently use a computer for several hours at a time -Manages individually assigned projects by monitoring the budget and schedule as well as maintaining communication with the client to ensure the project is completed to the client’s expectations -May travel to and navigate construction sites, some of which may be at high altitudes or small spaces with dirt or dust particles -Develops technical documentation, proposals, and presentations for clients -Attends and leads project design/construction meetings as needed -Continuously looks for ways to improve the speed and efficiency of task completion and proactively shares best practices with the team. -Regularly reviews updates and addenda to energy- and sustainability-related codes and policies. -Analyzes, reviews, and/or consults on project documentation of energy-related systems found in architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications -Creates energy models using industry-standard software to assess code compliance and high performance design -Performs calculations to document various MEP-related credits in the LEED rating systems -Participates in building walk-throughs and site visits for Energy Star ratings and other energy performance evaluations. -Communicates across disciplines (MEP, Architect, Contractor) for workflow and information needs for deliverables -Assists with training of less experienced colleagues on energy- and sustainability-related documentation and processes

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering -Occasional travel (up to 10%) to attend meetings and conferences -Written Communication Skills – ability to clearly deliver a message through written words using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation -Knowledge and understanding of energy modeling process -Technical Writing Skills – skilled in the area of summarizing or explaining technical information in a clear, concise, and accurate way, communicating the point intended -Speech Clarity – ability to speak clearly and in a common language so that others can understand you -Continuously expands knowledge of building science and MEP system design & control, as well as the software, tools, codes, and rating systems that support our service lines -Comprehension – ability to understand information, ideas, and direction presented in writing and/or verbally communicated -Judgment and Decision-Making Skills – ability to make reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out; constructively questioning and analyzing information in order to make the best conclusion -Knowledge of standards, codes, and rating systems associated with sustainability and energy performance -Knowledge of LEED credit requirements -Presentation Skills – effective in variety of presentation settings both inside and outside the organization; commands attention and can manage group processes during the presentation; can change tactics midstream when something isn’t working -Six years of relevant experience; experience in energy modeling and working on LEED projects -Detail-Oriented – ability to achieve accuracy and thoroughness when accomplishing a task; pays attention to details and is able to understand what caused a certain outcome -Teamwork and Collaboration Skills- ability to work productively with other team members for project and team success. Ability to assume varying roles/responsibilities within this position depending on specific project, client and team needs -Knowledge of HVAC systems, loads, and controls -Knowledge of energy modeling simulation programs (e.g., IESVE, Trane TRACE 700) -Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) software -Knowledge of sustainable building practices -Accreditation as a LEED AP or ASHRAE BEMP preferred -Capable of working on and/or managing multiple projects, clients, and deadlines simultaneously
