The Role

Overview

Assist construction management of commercial electrical projects: plans, estimates, field oversight.

Tasks

-Assist with preparing statements of work, submittals, change management and necessary daily and weekly reporting -Assist with the review of plans and specifications and prepare a checklist of contract features which require periodic attention -Interpret applicable construction drawings -Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed, and materials used conform to required specifications -Check progress of work in the field -Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable -Inspect equipment, material, workmanship and finished construction -Ensure maintenance of accurate records -Promote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements -Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling as needed

What You Bring

-Possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills -Regular and predictable attendance -Proficient with Microsoft Office applications -Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or general construction experience -Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree. -Ability to read blueprints and drawings -Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera at an intermediate or higher level -Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think practically while remaining detail-oriented
