The Role

Overview

Manage and sustain naval combat, weapons, radar, comms and EW systems.

Tasks

-Advising senior leadership on technical matters, contributing to the development of future naval technologies. -Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of sophisticated combat and electronic systems. -Diagnosing and resolving complex system issues, ensuring operational readiness. -Managing system installations, upgrades, and integration projects, ensuring timely delivery and operational efficiency. -Collaborating with specialists to integrate weapons and communication systems into broader naval operations. -Work on projects that matter – You’ll have the chance to contribute to career-defining projects that support Australia’s sovereign capability and national security, delivering real impact in Defence, government, and infrastructure.

What You Bring

-Relevant qualifications or certifications in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, or related disciplines) OR equivalent Defence Industry experience. -Previous experience working with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), CASG, or Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) is highly regarded. -Strong experience in systems engineering, certification, and sustainment of combat systems within Defence, government, or professional services. -Proven ability to work independently, prioritise complex tasks, and manage engineering investigations. -Familiarity with ASDEFCON processes, Defence Capability Lifecycle (CLC), and naval combat systems.
