Tasks

Lead External Reporting Provide leadership and mentorship to four direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth aligned with Stockland’s values. Partner with key internal stakeholders—including Strategic Capital, Treasury, Tax, and Group Investments—to ensure alignment and shared understanding of financial impacts. Support Strategic Decision-Making Shape Accounting Policy Champion innovation and efficiency in reporting processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance how Finance operates across the business. Manage Audit Engagements Prepare well-articulated Audit Committee papers and review Investment Committee submissions, translating technical accounting matters into strategic insights that support senior leaders and directors. Lead the relationship with PwC, coordinating audits and reviews to deliver outcomes that are clear of material unadjusted differences. Navigate complex audit processes while maintaining Stockland’s high standards. Take ownership of Stockland’s external financial reporting obligations, including ASX and ASIC submissions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Manage the half-year and year-end reporting cycles, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout. Play a central role in developing and applying accounting policies across the Group, providing expert advice on new standards, transactions, and business activities. What You Bring

We’re looking for a seasoned finance professional to lead Stockland’s external reporting and accounting policy function. This is a high-impact role responsible for delivering external financial reporting obligations to the ASX, ASIC, and joint venture partners, while shaping and applying accounting policies across the Group. You’ll lead a team of three onshore and 4 offshore team members and work closely with senior leaders and external advisors to ensure clarity, compliance, and excellence in financial reporting. -Skilled in managing complex projects and driving change across the organisation -Proven leadership experience with a track record of building strong teams -Deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, group accounting, and consolidation - Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders -CA/CPA qualified with extensive experience in financial accounting and ASX reporting -You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving complex problems
