Tasks

-Perform internal quality control reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance -Mentor, train, and lead junior engineering staff -Design and analyze pond systems to meet Water Management District requirements for water quality and peak attenuation -Manage a team of up to five engineers -Work collaboratively with clients and owners to address comments on interim submittals -Develop innovative design concepts and contribute to proposals and presentations -Prepare staff-hour estimates and support project scheduling -Develop and modify large watershed models in StormWise (ICPR) -Prepare reports to document drainage design and analysis -Collaborate with roadway designers to ensure compatibility between drainage and roadway plans -Perform drainage design and hydraulic analysis for pavement systems, including gutter spread, hydroplaning, storm sewer tabulations, and culvert capacity

What You Bring

-Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license -Minimum of eight years of professional engineering experience -Work independently with minimal technical supervision -Proficiency with design software, including MicroStation, OpenRoads, ORD-SUDA, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, GIS, StormWise (ICPR), HEC-RAS, HY-8, SMS, and SRH-2D -Strong communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility to perform diverse tasks, including occasional field work Initiative and ability to take on new projects and challenges -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university -Knowledge of FEMA floodplain regulations, FDOT Design Manual, drainage design standards, and plans production criteria -Demonstrated experience with FDOT projects -Familiarity with Florida DEP stormwater management permitting requirements
