Tasks

-Reporting: Document constructability review outcomes, issues, and recommendations to support project decision-making. -Phasing & Sequencing: Assess construction sequencing for shoring, excavation, waterproofing, and structural works, validating feasibility in constrained urban conditions. -Delivery of constructability reviews that highlight risks early and reduce downstream delays. -Constructability Input: Provide early technical input during progressive design reviews to align engineering with construction realities. -Risk Management: Highlight potential safety, schedule, or cost risks arising from design assumptions; recommend mitigation strategies. -Interface Oversight: Identify dependencies and risks at interfaces between stations, tunnels, and adjacent civil works. -Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with contractors, design engineers, utilities, and Metrolinx representatives to discuss constructability findings and adjustments. -Design Package Review: Evaluate station design submissions with a focus on constructability, staging, and temporary works.

What You Bring

-6+ years of experience on large-scale transit or underground station projects. -Ideally 12+ years of experience on large-scale transit or underground station projects. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. -Clear documentation and communication of constructability findings. -Strong technical knowledge of excavation, shoring, waterproofing, and station construction sequencing. -Positive collaboration with design and contractor teams resulting in more efficient station delivery. -Proven track record in constructability reviews and coordination with design and contractor teams. -Professional certification (e.g., P.Eng, ) considered an asset. -Practical, field-driven input incorporated into design packages.
