Tasks
-Lead inspection and test activities for mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, plumbing, and associated systems. -Review client quality requirements and ensure all mechanical construction works are delivered to the highest level of compliance. -Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Management System (QMS) in line with client and company standards. -Oversee the maintenance of quality records, ensuring all documentation and inspection reports are accurately completed and uploaded to BIM 360 (or other project platforms). -Support the implementation of benchmarking and First of Kind (FOK) processes to establish installation quality standards. -Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) through to close-out. -Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project. -Monitor and verify installation works, ensuring materials and workmanship meet the required specifications and standards. -Conduct regular site audits and walkdowns to verify compliance with project procedures and Clean Build standards. -Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation, including Quality Plans, ITPs, and Method Statements. -Compile and issue weekly and monthly quality performance reports, tracking progress, trends, and key metrics. -Act as the primary quality interface between the client, contractors, and internal project team on all mechanical QA/QC matters. -Promote Lean Construction and Lessons Learned initiatives, driving continuous improvement and reducing rework. -Deliver quality induction and awareness training for site personnel to ensure full understanding of project quality objectives. -Coordinate and lead quality meetings with subcontractors, ensuring alignment on QA/QC procedures and compliance expectations.

Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical QA Lead to work on a hyperscale data centre project in Mons, Belgium. Mechanical QA Lead NB: The ideal candidate MUST hold a valid EU passport and be eligible to work in Belgium. -Familiarity with BIM 360 or similar quality documentation management systems. -Previous experience working on data centre projects preferred. -Strong understanding of mechanical systems installation, testing, and commissioning. -Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. -Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment and ensure a proactive approach to quality delivery. -Proven experience as a QA/QC or Quality Lead within large-scale mechanical or MEP construction projects.
