Travel across Alberta/NWT repairing, troubleshooting and overhauling CAT Power Systems equipment.
-Work with the Service Supervisor and Lead Hand on various tasks as required. -Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs, maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments. -Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team. -Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) -Responsible for the maintenance and overhaul work in the EPG industry
-Previous Caterpillar experience -Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification (or Electrical) -Valid driver's license with a successful recent driver abstract -Power Systems experience, must be capable and confident troubleshooting mechanically governed fuel delivery systems -CAT dealer training -Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision -A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable -Willingness to participate and complete additional training
