The Role

Overview

Lead design and delivery of water/wastewater projects from concept to handover

Tasks

-Support and mentor less experienced members of the team. -Lead the design of water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects through the outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover -Be a member of a multi-disciplinary project team, supporting both your, and the teams personal and professional development? -Build positive relationships with the client project, operational and technical assurance teams and promote a "one-team" approach. -Work as part of a “Project triangle” alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure that technical, constructability and commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout. -Project manage the design of water and wastewater projects? -Visit sites across your frameworks region as required to develop the design and support the construction delivery of your projects (costs incurred are recoverable). -Coordinate the project team including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Process designers and ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the quality defined by each framework and industry specifications

What You Bring

-Chartered/Incorporated member of professional institution e.g. ICE, IMechE, etc, or demonstratable progress made towards attaining this. -Experience with water, or wastewater, non-infrastructure or infrastructure projects. -Experience of successfully delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards. -Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. -Methodical approach to problem solving. -Proficient in delivering results within short timeframes, prioritising tasks and managing your time efficiently. -Accredited Engineering degree -A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
