The Role

Overview

Administer weekly and monthly UK payroll, handling queries and data processing.

Tasks

-Actively involved in all aspects of administering and processing 3x weekly and 2x monthly payrolls. -Dealing with all payroll queries from employees. -Maintain an Excel spreadsheet and calculate sick pay for employees. -Comply with Payroll timetables and policies. -Assist the team in data manipulation and data upload of payroll input data received from various areas of the business -Assist in preparing the Weekly/Monthly payroll and liaising with all levels of employees. -Delivery of all payroll activities as assigned and always ensuring a high level of accuracy. -Collate and prepare time and attendance data for payroll on Excel using Vlook ups to meet payroll deadlines. -Maintain an Excel spreadsheet and calculate holiday pay for hourly employees.

-Enjoy working on a large volume, busy payroll. -BIK experience, processing P11d’s and payrolling Benefits. -Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with particular focus on having intermediate excel skills of Vlookups, Pivots. -Clear and logical thinking and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and deliver strong results. -Proven track record of delivering payroll and continually improving payroll processes which is manual and Excel-based. -Confident in manual processing of payroll from start to finish. -Knowledge of processing payroll in construction industry. -Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels. -Numerical competency in data entry and data conversion. -Knowledge of ITrent, ePayfact & Business Objects desirable, but not essential. -Experienced with Payroll & Pension Reconciliations -Payroll experience in UK payroll both weekly & monthly. -Able to manipulate and upload large amount of data on Excel received from various sources with high accuracy. -Be process-oriented, service-driven, work well as part of the team. -Payroll knowledge on current payroll legislation i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, NIC and Attachment of Earnings Order. -Strong numerical competency with the ability to do manual calculations independently. -Experience of using various payroll systems and ability to adapt and learn new systems
