Geotechnical Internship (Level 3)

Overview

Assist in geotechnical project management, testing, drilling, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Assisting with performing and/or recommending lab testing -Assisting with determining appropriate subsurface exploration program and preparing drilling instructions -Classifying soil samples -Scheduling of drill rigs for geotechnical projects -Observing of foundation or ground improvement installations -Assisting with preparation of proposals -Assisting with management of geotechnical projects -Assisting with foundation analysis and recommendations -Performing hand augers to obtain subsurface information and soil samples -Obtaining utility clearance for subsurface explorations

What You Bring

-Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed -Previous internship experience required -Actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering, geology, or related degree -Position requires lifting/carrying 40 - 100 lbs. multiple times a day
