Overview

Oversee daily quality control inspections and documentation for construction projects.

Tasks

-Evaluate contractor payment requisitions. -Maintain logs on required corrections and post progress inspection/status reports daily -Verify conformance of materials and equipment with approved shop drawings/submittals. -Coordinate site inspections with client Environmental or Testing Service Contractor(s). -Review contractor quality and safety plans for adequacy, completeness, and compliance. -Maintain inspection logs and take project photographs daily. -Maintain awareness of clarifications and changes affecting work in progress. -Document defects and/or omissions. -Interpret construction documents, codes and technical submissions to verify conformance with contract and regulatory requirements. -Perform daily, quality-focused inspections during project construction. -Assist the Project Manager in the documentation and resolution of field issues. -Monitor and document construction activity, equipment and manpower. -Monitor labor and safety conditions. -Report problems/deficiencies encountered in the performance of the work in a timely manner. -Review equipment, materials, and workmanship. -Review planned vs. actual schedule status and keep the team informed of any schedule risk.

What You Bring

-Physical requirements include accessing all areas of buildings in a safe manner including using ladders. -Demonstrated ability to work with client, contractor and design teams. -Requires good Written and Verbal skills for face-to-face meetings and written reports. -Familiarity with OSHA regulations and material/construction testing. -Good working skills with computers and applications including PMCS systems. -At least 10 years of experience in Building Construction Quality Assurance/Control.
