Geotechnical Engineer for marine infrastructure design and consulting

Tasks

-Ensure compliance with Indian and European geotechnical standards and guidelines. -Evaluate geotechnical parameters and provide design recommendations for foundations, earthworks, dredging, reclamation, and ground improvement. -Assess settlement, bearing capacity, and slope stability for marine infrastructure. -Conduct geotechnical risk assessments for various infrastructure construction activities. -Design and analyze pile foundations, caissons, quay walls, breakwaters, revetments, and earth retaining structures. -Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, feasibility studies, and design justifications for clients and regulatory approvals. -Review geotechnical submissions from contractors and consultants. -Provide technical guidance to junior engineers on geotechnical aspects. -Plan and interpret geotechnical site investigations for infrastructure projects, including marine works. -Collaborate with structural, coastal, and BIM engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into project designs.

What You Bring

-Experience working on at least one detailed engineering project. -Experience in foundation engineering, earthworks, and earth retaining structures. -In-depth knowledge of geotechnical concepts and best practices. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. -Software proficiency: PLAXIS (2D and 3D), GeoStudio Slope/W, LPILE, GRLWEAP, Wallap, and AutoCAD. -Knowledge of Euro/BS codes and experience in design using Eurocode. -Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting.
