Tasks

-Maintain high technical standards and solutions -Manage and mentor apprentices and operatives and coordinate the work of others as necessary -Stand in for Supervision as and when required -To be responsible for the security of vehicles/plant and materials under their direct control and to plan work and estimate vehicle/plant and material requirements. -Always ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation throughout team and ensure works are carried out as per relevant VRS specification -To keep records, complete all necessary paperwork, communicate and liaise with other employees of Amey, sub-contractors, the emergency services, the police, the public, clients and customers. -Report any Health and Safety, team or performance concerns to the Supervisor. -Attend project briefings as required

What You Bring

-Experience of Chapter 8 and Traffic Management on High-speed roads -HGV Class 2 Licence (Preferable) -This role will specialise in Vehicle Restraint Systems but experience with drainage, kerbing, fencing, walling, sweeping, signing, patching, traffic management, soft estates work will be an advantage -To drive/operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills including vehicle checks, routine maintenance, (e.g. oil and water checks etc.) and cleaning. -Driving Licence -SSSTS or SMSTS -Personal Highway Safety Certificate
