Tasks

-Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to respond to threats and initiate recovery workflows. -Maintain comprehensive documentation of backup configurations, recovery procedures, and change logs. -Analyze threat intelligence reports and correlate findings with backup data to identify potential breaches. -Design and test disaster recovery plans using Rubrik’s Live Mount, Instant Recovery, and CloudOut features. -Lead the design and deployment of Rubrik backup and recovery solutions across on-prem, cloud (Azure/AWS), and hybrid environments. -Ensure adherence to security and least privilege principles. -Leverage Rubrik’s Data Threat Analytics to detect anomalies, ransomware indicators, and unauthorized access patterns. -Develop automation for hybrid cloud backup operations. -Build custom workflows for policy enforcement, compliance checks, and alerting. -Design and implement scripts to automate Rubrik backup, restore, and reporting workflows -Monitor data exposure risks and enforce policies to reduce attack surfaces and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. -Conduct regular DR drills and simulate failover scenarios to validate recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs). -Utilize Rubrik REST APIs and SDKs to integrate with external platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, monitoring tools, Azure, AWS). -Maintain detailed documentation of scripts, workflows, and processes. -Collaborate with business units to prioritize critical workloads and define recovery tiers. -Stay current with Rubrik product updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies in data protection. -Evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing backup architectures to improve scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. -Configure Rubrik clusters, SLA domains, replication policies, archival targets, and retention settings. -Implement encryption, role-based access controls, and immutability features to safeguard data against ransomware and unauthorized access. -Ensure seamless protection of VMware virtual machines, databases (SQL, Oracle), NetApp NAS shares, M365 cloud-native workloads and Azure machines. -Identify and classify sensitive data (e.g., PII, PHI, financial records) using Rubrik’s data discovery capabilities. -Define long-term data protection strategies aligned with business continuity and compliance requirements. -Troubleshoot and optimize existing scripts for performance and reliability. -Utilize GraphQL for Rubrik automation. -Participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence of backup compliance and recovery capabilities. -Manage daily backup operations, monitor job health, and proactively resolve failures or performance bottlenecks. -Implement and manage Rubrik DSPM to continuously assess and improve the security posture of sensitive data across environments.
