The Role

Overview

Lead municipal traffic/utility design, manage projects, budgets, staff, and client relations.

Tasks

-Timely and accurate completion of OHM and sub-consultant invoices and collections. -Identify necessary staff resources and work with Discipline Director/Geographic in the hiring process. -Prepare and manage scope, schedule, and budget for proposals and contracts. -Anticipate project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and providing recommendations for solving issues. -Assures that direct reports have the tools and training to effectively perform their job and are appropriately placed based on their strengths. Perform performance reviews for direct reports. -Effectively communicate project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to the project team, client, and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.). -Coach and Manage staff development, sub-consultants, and expenses during project implementation.

What You Bring

-OHM Grad School -The desire and ability to train junior engineers and interns. -Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. -Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. -Professional Engineering License in the State of Michigan. -Experience involving municipal streets and utilities and/or roadway/highway design. -Understanding OHM services and how they relate to the client's organization and needs. -5 years' experience with maintenance of traffic design, traffic control and utility coordination. -Good organizational skills and enjoy working in a team environment. -Experience with the MDOT ProjectWise and design criteria and manuals are preferred.
