The Role

Overview

Develops and executes pricing strategies to maximise margin for Rheem's AC division.

Tasks

-Present recommendations on pricing and profit optimization topics to senior management. -Participate in cross-functional initiatives and cross-divisional initiatives focused on pricing and profit optimization. -Monitor pricing programs to ensure proper and controlled use of exception pricing agreements. -Provide direction to team members responsible for implementing exception pricing agreements (e.g., SPRs, gain-share programs, etc.). -Analyze price gain by customer, region, product category, etc. versus planned levels. -Make recommendations for standard market pricing, based on competitive analysis and product advantages. -Contributing Respectfully - Sharing opinions, valuing ideas, sharing opposing perspectives with respect -Develop and enhance metrics and ‘dashboard’ reports (pricing/profitability as well as process metrics). -Measure post-mortem performance of distributor and large dealer price repositioning moves, with performance improvement recommendations. -Lead evaluation of proposed customer rebate programs and the impact on profitability. -Lead projects to identify, evaluate, recommend, and execute margin improvement plans based on review of price, volume, share and mix trends by customer or business segment. -Develop and implement new/innovative pricing structures to optimize profitability, field pricing flexibility, and pricing controls. -Participate in Pricing systems improvement projects, working cross-functionally and across divisions to ensure all requirements are satisfied. -Conceive, define and lead pricing process improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of business-to-business pricing principles and techniques -Listening to Understand – Open mind, learning from others, accepting feedback, embracing the objective -Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment. -Masters in Business or related field -Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or Engineering -Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of Excel required. -General understanding of accounting principles -Thinking Creatively – Applying creativity, seeking improvements, understanding from the customers’ lens -Demonstrated experience solving complex business problems -7+ years of work experience in Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, but most preferably in Pricing/Revenue Management -Manufacturing and/or two-step distribution industry experience preferred -Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy. -Experience with Oracle BI Answers, SQL, MS Access, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus
