-Perform self-QC on designs and proactively seek peer reviews when needed. -Design mechanical systems including: -Fire Protection: Prepare performance drawings and specifications for wet and dry pipe systems. -Conduct appropriate fieldwork to assess existing conditions and determine design direction, including decisions on system upgrades. -Independently manage and design multiple systems for highly complex projects. -Collaborate within a team environment to complete projects from concept through construction with minimal supervision. -Lead and implement cross-discipline coordination with project teams. -Provide Construction Administration services including site visits, submittal reviews, and responding to RFIs. -Perform all aspects of mechanical engineering as it relates to assigned projects.
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer (PE) with a strong background in building systems design to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and coordination of mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) for a variety of complex projects including institutional, commercial, healthcare, education, laboratory, and government facilities. -BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis. -5+ years of consulting engineering experience with building mechanical systems. -Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina required. -Working knowledge of AutoCAD (latest edition) and Revit (latest edition). -Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. -Experience using HVAC load analysis software (HAP or TRACE). -Familiarity with business operations systems and processes.
