Tasks

-Helping ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed. -Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project. -Supporting in conducting feasibility studies and benchmarking -Helping ensures that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively. -Assisting in the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients. -Helping ensure that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively. -Supporting the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively. -Supporting estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan. -Helping ensures the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.

What You Bring

-Highly numerate, accurate and focused on detail. -Being a valued interface with client and other consultants at all project stages. -Ability to build excellent relationships with clients, design teams and stakeholders. -Cost planning, budgeting and estimating experience. -Previous experience working for a cost consultancy practice or main contractor within Infrastructure sectors -Knowledge of the typical industry contract forms and procurement routes -A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent. -Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS or working towards (Not essential).
