Tasks

-Collaborate with colleagues to transition individual analytic code into data warehouse jobs -Support the data needs of the CSDE to inform policy and decision-making -Extract and prepare data for external data requesters to support audit and evaluation needs -Develop interactive reports through EdSight for special education reporting -Conduct analysis and prepare reports that inform accountability monitoring, and comply with state and federal reporting requirements -Validate and clean source data from CT-Special Education System (CT-SEDS), Due Process, and Early Childhood Outcomes files -Merge special education, student exit, early childhood, student discipline, and other relevant data sets accurately for analysis purposes -Assists in the development and administration of certain programs of major importance or may develop and administer other programs within the framework of bureau policy; -Stay connected! Log in daily to your JobAps Personal Status Board to track your status and check email (including spam/junk folders) for updates and tasks. -Assists a Bureau Chief or Education Consultant in supervising various educational programs and services offered by the state; -Provides professional leadership and guidance to school authorities, professional organizations, students and various community groups and individuals; -Create automated processes, where feasible, to produce federal EdFacts data files -prepare reports; -May assist in directing the routine functioning of the bureau;

What You Bring

-Ability to -Experience writing data queries that merge multiple large datasets. -Considerable knowledge of the philosophy and methods of education with particular reference to the field concerned; -Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. -Experience meeting deadlines with competing priorities. -Referral Questions: This posting may require completion of additional Referral Questions (RQs), which must be completed by the questionnaire’s expiration date.
