Overview
Provide cost advice from early design to final account, manage projects and client relationships

Tasks
-Settling final accounts. -Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Units activities. -Producing and presenting reports to Customers. -Positively engaging with Customers and developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships. -Managing service delivery for profit. -Evaluating and reporting on tenders. -Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies. -Delivering high quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements. -Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent. -Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance. -Advising on and implementing procurement strategies. -Managing projects and to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures. -Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process. including designing tender marking schemes -Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives. -Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.

What You Bring
-Methodical way of thinking and approach to work -Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily -Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts -Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills -Ability to work as part of a team -Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; -Good knowledge of construction methods and materials. -Sound cost management experience post MRICS qualification. -Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments. -MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building) -Exposure to a variety of local & national schemes & projects across a range of sectors -Good knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management tasks -Expert guidance and advice from experienced industry leaders within Gleeds, both locally & nationally -Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies. -Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning. -MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) OR -Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written
