The Role

Overview

Wind aluminum and copper coils for dry‑type transformers on 2nd‑shift (3:30‑12 pm).

Tasks

-Keep all work areas clean, organized and presentable -Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards related to coil dimension, bus bar location, etc. -Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations -Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints -Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+ -Provide process and safety improvement ideas -Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations -Maintain a minimum of 80% of productivity time standards -Adhere to company regulations, including adherence to policies regarding safety, attendance and punctuality

What You Bring

-Forklift operator certification (can be trained on-site) -Previous Machine Operation experience -Qualification of bar to foil and foil to foil welding -Minimum 3 years of experience in related field preferred -6 months of previous winding experience or the approval of trainer, team lead, and supervisor that the necessary skills below are met -Ability to lift 50 pounds -Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position. -Certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent high school trades course -Wind aluminum and copper coils for dry type transformers -Ability to wind coils for dry type transformers while adhering to Eaton’s quality standard -Cross training in hook-up/hot work assembly to meet production demands -Proficient use heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, winding machines, fabrication, welding and brazing equipment
