Operate tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (e.g., hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers)
Disassemble units to adjust or replace part, mark unit assemblies with identifying information and/or attach identifying tags
Read and interpret documents associated with the completion of mechanical and/or wiring assembly assignments (e.g., blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.). Gather parts and accessories required in the assembly process
Report non-conforming items (e.g., parts, schematics, blueprints, etc.), prepare finished units for shipping (e.g., packing, sealing, labeling, etc.)
Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure accurate functioning and safe working conditions
With the use of computers, access and apply various documents associated with the manufacture of products in assembly (e.g. quality and safety documents, operating Instructions, etc.) and perform other work as advised by supervisor
Assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies or subassemblies; fasten component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies, connect cables and basic wires and verify that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements

Must be able and willing to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 75lbs, push/pull/slide heavy material, stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
Verbal and written communication skills in English

Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
