The Role

Overview

Manage daily ops of a B2B retail branch, leading staff, sales, inventory, and customer service.

Tasks

-Develop strategies to expand walk in traffic and optimize profitability. -Drive customer service excellence to every aspect of the branch, including showroom appearance, display of merchandise, product placement and store layout. -Ensure customer (in person) visits are scheduled regularly with the OSR’s. -Work to develop and maintain local manufacturer relationships as we support and drive their respective business requirements. -Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with existing and potential customers. Develop and maintains relationships with top accounts. -Create protocols to protect the store including theft management. -Coordinate staffing schedules and conduct weekly staff meetings. -Hire, train, develop, and manage staff. -Address customer concerns and ensure best possible outcome. -Plan & organize customer events, local tradeshow needs, seminars and supplier counter days. -Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and the company. -Ensure the branch complies with outlined safety policies and procedures, as well as local health regulations. -Stay abreast of the competition and emerging technologies. -Ensure strategic goals and sales targets are met by maximizing sales and gross profit, reviewing sales performance, controlling expenses, and managing inventory investment. -Analyze/monitor inventory/ stock movement. -Propose innovative ideas to increase market share. -Provide staff with feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations. Assess needs and build career paths.

What You Bring

-Ability to influence and leverage support departments within a within a matrix business structure. -Ability to travel up to 10% -Working knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources. -Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility. -Prior experience with managing a sales team 3+ years -Prior professional sales experience in related industry 3+ years -Bachelor’s Degree - Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred. -Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. -Excellent time management and computer skills. -Demonstrated verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills. -High School Degree or Equivalent required.
