  • Desktop research of past climatic events, damage metrics, adaptation strategies
  • Analyze climate data to assess future change
  • Support across our multi-faceted team such as researching, summarizing findings, supporting stakeholder engagement activities
  • Assist in the preparation of physical and transition climate risk reports and exhibits
  • Prepare technical summaries, memoranda, and email correspondence
  • Perform climate-related impact analyses
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal TRC staff
  • Prepare analysis to support Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials
  • Previous internship experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and/or strong leadership experience is preferred
  • Experience or interest working with GIS systems
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Proficiency in computer coding for data analysis with R
  • Ability to translate technical topics into materials for non-technical audiences
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Biology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Policy, Geography, History, Communications, or related field
  • Strong experience with Excel and proficient in other MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Excellent research and communication skills are mandatory
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform across multiple work assignments
  • Ability to work independently, as part of the team, and cross-collaboratively with other groups
  • Ability to draw insights from data analysis
