Tasks

-Open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing an Environmental Services practice. -Lead an environmental team while building and managing relationships with key clients. -Making presentations, writing proposals and scopes of work. -Establish budgets, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, and supervising the execution of work. -Support other practices in the office and region to deliver environmental-focus work -Provide practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building, and maintaining positive client relationships. -Manage project teams consisting of other environmental and engineering professionals of varying experience levels. -Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model. -Identifying and tracking leads. -Accounting, administrative, marketing, recruiting, IT and production support will be provided. -Promote the growth of the local environmental team and mentor existing environmental staff.

What You Bring

-Relevant professional certifications (AICP, PWS, CPESC, etc.) are desirable, but not required -Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work. -Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner. -Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. -Experience in natural resources assessments and field investigations, including preparation of wetlands/waters delineation reports. -Client contacts and relationships with local, regional, or state agencies. -Business development skills and the proven ability to win work. -Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably. -Experience with geographic information systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS and/or CAD. -10 or more years of relevant experience managing environmental tasks/projects in Indiana -Experience with NEPA process in transportation projects for INDOT. -Experience with environmental permitting rules and regulations. -Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) in the Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Engineering, or related degree.
