The Role

Overview

On-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of heavy equipment.

Tasks

-Performs routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections -Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols -Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches -Tie workflow to schedule -Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions -Build positive relationships with customers -Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use -Communicates with coworkers and customers to ensure top quality equipment is always available and customer expectation is exceeded -Completes basic computer tasks including completing work orders, looking up parts, and communicating via email -Drive to various vendors to acquire parts for assigned repairs -Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned -Produce timely and detailed service reports -Participate in all training programs directed by Manager -Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization -Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks -Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems -Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings -Maintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations -Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition on the job site or in the shop

What You Bring

-Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record -Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment -Proven field service experience -Must have own tools -Ability to work flexible shifts -Willing to train and assist other team members with difficult or lengthy repairs -High School Diploma or GED -Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment -Position may require several hours of driving daily to job sites -Exhibit strong teamwork -Required to travel to various locations for training classes/seminars
