The Role
Overview
Inspect and ensure compliance of pavement marking and road construction projects.

Tasks
-Oversee the installation and maintenance of Erosion and Sediment Control devices to insure they are placed per the approved plan and within required specifications. -Apply Best Management Practices to safety activities. -Oversee and aid in the approval of Field Changes to meet field conditions. -Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation using eConstruction software. -Apply engineering principles in the inspection and documentation of construction activities. -Apply knowledge and experience towards the inspection of Paving and Pavement Marking installation using required standards and specifications. -Communicate with various stakeholders including Local, State and Federal Governments -Conduct testing of materials following local Standards and Specifications

What You Bring
-SHA Erosion and Sediment Control Yellow Card -Required to work various shifts and on weekends. -Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. -OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety -Ability to work in a team environment to plan, coordinate, inspect and oversee project activities of Pavement Marking Restoration. -1+ years’ experience in inspection or Roadway Construction -Pavement Markings -Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Similar Field. -Ability to interpret Site Plans -Experience operating computer equipment, software programs including Microsoft Office Suite. -ATSSA Pavement Marking Technician Certificate -HMA (Asphalt) -Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Responsible Personnel Certification (RPC), formally called Green Card -Able to pass a criminal background check. -Must be current with or able to obtain the following certifications -Ability to Physically perform essential duties such as, Walking, Standing, Bending, and lifting loads weighing up to 80lbs. -Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. -High School Diploma or Equivalent -Mid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP)
