Configure and support Workday Time Tracking/Absence, ensuring compliance and reporting.

Tasks

-Manage support tickets with clear communication and follow-through. -Perform end-to-end testing to ensure smooth deployments and minimize disruptions. -Deliver actionable insights to leadership to guide decision-making and policy adjustments. -Lead or participate in Workday enhancement projects, system releases, and integrations. -Translate business needs into effective Workday configurations that improve user experience and operational efficiency. -Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules, including business processes, eligibility rules, accruals, work schedules, and absence plans. -Ensure data accuracy with regular audits, validations, and reconciliations. -Ensure compliance with FLSA, state/provincial meal/rest and overtime rules, company policies, and union rules; document and version policy logic in Workday. -Provide training and resources to HR partners, managers, and employees to maximize adoption and minimize errors -Partner with HR, Payroll, Compliance, and IT to align system capabilities with policy and regulatory needs. -Stay informed about new Workday features and industry best practices, recommending improvements to stay ahead of the curve. -Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure accurate time capture, leave balances, and payout calculations. -Build and maintain Workday reports and dashboards to provide visibility into time, absence, and compliance metrics. -Serve as the primary contact for Time Tracking and Absence-related issues, providing timely, accurate solutions.

What You Bring

-Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into simple, effective solutions -3+ years of Workday configuration experience, with strong expertise in Time Tracking and Absence -Proficiency in Workday reporting tools, including Report Writer and Calculated Fields -Familiarity with labor laws and compliance requirements impacting time and leave preferred -Experience supporting integrations with external time clocks, payroll systems, or scheduling tools preferred -Understanding of payroll dependencies, accrual rules, and compliance impacts -Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience -Workday certification(s) in Time Tracking and/or Absence preferred -Experience with additional Workday modules (HCM Core, Payroll, Scheduling) preferred
