Tasks

-Performing contract negotiations -Participate in marketing and business development -Manage transportation projects to meet financial and technical requirements -Participating and/or leading interviews -Recruit, develop and retain staff -Prepare and deliver technical presentations -Serve as the lead with key client and contract management -Supervising the execution of work -Principal in Charge for all engineering design aspects of our Utah office (marketing and operations)

What You Bring

-Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines -Must be proficient with MicroStation and OpenRoads -The ability to manage AND assist in the production of design deliverables -15+ years of progressive transportation/roadway/structural experience -Licensed Utah P.E. -Valid driver’s license -Experience working with UDOT -B.S. or M.S. in Civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program -Possess a strong understanding of project management -A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) -5+ years of experience in management of engineering and support staff
