Tasks
The Electrical Technician (ET) position carries a comprehensive list of requirements and responsibilities for the successful execution of 1Lift’s business operation. In addition to providing field installation labor for Project Management – The ET will have a role in assisting project managers with scheduling, information gathering from the jobsite and procurement of required materials and managing some of 1Lift’s specialty trade sub-contractors. Management responsibilities include but are not limited to providing PMs with information for weekly status reports and performing regular project site visits. Vendor relationships and networking – the ET is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with multiple vendors which 1Lift utilizes to perform the scope of work required on the projects that have been awarded within the region. Fire Alarm Install – The ET will be responsible for assisting (or assisting with the installation) of a range of fire alarm materials to support elevator recall functions. These materials can include conduit, boxes and SLC wire, smoke detectors, heat detectors, addressable modules and addressable interfaces. Additionally, the ET will be responsible for installing fire alarm materials and components for other general building projects that are not necessarily related to elevator modernizations. A basic understanding of commercial fire alarm systems is desired. Customer relationships and networking – the ET is responsible for developing and maintaining great working relationships with 1Lift’s customer Mechanics and Superintendents. Professional Development – the ET is responsible for identifying and participating in continued education opportunities that will allow 1Lift to stay ahead of its competition by maintaining expertise in NFPA 70 and 72.

What You Bring
Electrical Install and Surveys– The ET will be responsible for some select commercial electrical installations and surveying. The ET will be required to evaluate the 3phase power and line voltage switches and disconnects in relation to an elevator or motor as well as lighting install in elevator machine rooms and hoistways. The ET will also have a responsibility to create a single line diagram depicting the electrical feed to an elevator or motor. The ET will need an ability to read electrical drawings and details relating to elevator upgrades and hvac equipment. A minimum of Journeyman Electrician license is required. the electrical systems and fire alarm infrastructure the ET will also support the Technical Operations team at 1Lift designing and managing specialty trade related projects and the associated vendors that are hired. The ET will spend most of the time in the field, but will also spend some time at 1Lift’s corporate office in Erie, CO. There may also be projects were 1Lift needs “extra” hands to help with other specialty trade work like fire blocking where the ET may be required to assist. A strong working knowledge electrical systems is a minimum requirement. Physical Requirements – The ET will be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, and crawl for prolonged periods time; talk or hear, both in person and by phone and/or computer; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up-to 100 pounds Quality Management – the ET is responsible for ensuring 1Lift’s sub-contractors performance is always done professionally and with great quality. The ET will assist 1Lift PMs in closing out every job with quality punch list and require 1Lift sub-contractors to reperform any work that does not meet 1Lift quality standards or requirements by the Area Having Jurisdiction.
