Forklift Operator (Fri - Sun 6am-6pm)

Overview

Operate forklift to move and scan warehouse products on Fri‑Sun 6am‑6pm.

Tasks

-Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment. -Anticipates the needs of the business, keeping like product together and accessible. -Maintains a clean and safe area free and clear of any debris. -Operates a forklift to move product and pallets throughout warehouse to an area safely. -Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor. -Ensures that product is moved and scanned using a radio frequency scanner to the correct location and confirm product labels are accurate. -May place standup items into designated area by hand as required.

What You Bring

-High School Diploma or GED -Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance. -Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2500 lbs. or more. -Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo. -Must be 18 years of age or older. -Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance -Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed -Experience with operating a forklift with rate rating of 6,500 pounds. -50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment. -Ability to move awkward product lengths and weight. -Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet. -10%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting. -Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions. -Minimum one year experience operating a forklift. -Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills -80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception. -100% stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp. -Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust . -Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
